    Hewlett Packard Adopts Greener Batteries

    Filed under: technology;

    Tech giant Hewlett-Packard is now distributing notebook computer batteries that HP says will not drop off in battery capacity throughout the lifespan of the notebook computer, an average of three years. Also, HP states that the new batteries will recharge a great deal quicker than conventional batteries.

    The new batteries, called “The Enviro series” is produced by Boston Power, which markets “Sonata” batteries. Sonata batteries are considered more echo and economical friendly than conventional batteries, as Sonatas do not lose capacity during their first three years, and so do not need to be replaced. To prove such, the company even offers a three year guarantee on their batteries. Believe it or not, Boston Power says the batteries are recharged to approximately eighty percent of their full capacity in only half an hour.
