These stats are according to gaming company Electronic Arts, who recently sent out a press release with the information.

The monetization behind the Rock Band series is really very clever, as they gain revenue not only from the sales of the games themselves, but also from the forty million downloadable tracks connected to the games. There’s no end in sight for Rock Band, either, as they are set to release a new edition of the popular series, which will feature music from The Beatles!
