The library of movies and TV shows offered through Sony’s Playstation Network is about to get a lot larger, as it has been announced that Sony has struck up a partnership deal with NBC Universal. The deal will help Sony to greatly expand the amount of content offered through the Playstation 3, giving users a better variety of content to rent or buy. In fact, the Sony Playstation Network service now includes over 4500 television episodes, and over 1300 full length films.

So what shows can you now expect to enjoy through your PS3, or PSP? Well, the over eight million Playstation network users can now enjoy access to hit NBC series’ like “The Office” and new release DVDs such as the Oscar nominated “Milk”. These additions along with other major television shows and films from NBC certainly make the Playstation Network a stronger and more attractive service.
